She Slapped Me Across The Face..

Here is a story.. (poem rather) of a woman who shows her love in the strangest of ways.

To be loved is a beautiful thing.

But some expressions leave more than an impression.

Dear to my heart, her soul will be,

But closer to my cheek her palm shall forever remain.

How long shall a man live in terror?

And how much longer shall his soul strive in perdition?

Though he may know the sweet waters,

The draw from the well provided a bitter memory.

Bitter-sweet. Yes, how appropriate.

For he loves the gift but detests the casing.

Both with equal measure can be endured,

But must her love for him be insured?

Flesh upon flesh.

There shall love spring eternal.

For on that cloudless night, eyes wide with wonder,

My smile stretched by the expanse of her beauty,

I told her I loved her.

She stared back at me lovingly. Eyes adoring.

She embraced me and welcomed me in to her heart.

And when her love for me became overbearing,

She slapped me across the face.

The Coming Of Age

I really like Foster the People's new album "Supermodel" (I hope at one of you at least know the band and if you don't you should really try it :) ). Their first single off the album "Coming of Age" is a big hit and really resonates with everyone...cause face it...we aren't getting any younger..(unless you're Benjamin Button...which in that case..Whoa! You're really awesome.)

If you're reading this, I'd like to assume that you are entering your teens, leaving your teens or wishing you would get back to your teens. If you are entering your teens...kudos for getting this far in life (it's not really that far though) but not to burst your bubble.. there isn't really much to expect from this age. These years will be the most awkward years of your life and depending on how you take them, it can be your best or worst. So, for all you pre teens swooning over Jaden Smith or whoever is in right now (I  really sound like I'm 40 or something) take each day at a time, my friend, it will be over before you know it...and it will be a blast (depending if you are in a public boarding school or private....I kid!)

For those who have left their teens..recently or about to (I fall under this category) this is when you are kinda getting to know yourself...your likes and dislikes.. You may also be thinking about your future and  your purpose in life and blah blah (you mostly do this when you're in the shower....don't deny it...we all know its true) you are going through what people call...the quarter life crisis...Some of your friends may look like they know what they want and you're there like....eeeer...that's nice...I like pizza and pizza likes me...so I got that going for me which is great! Don't worry...when life gives you lemons...make life take the lemons back..get mad and demand to see life's manager..because you ordered oranges!

For those who are well beyond their teens...eeeer...hmmm...I haven't reached this stage in life yet..so come and see me in like 20 years.

All in all..we are coming of age in one way or another...just take it a day at a time..stay positive and hey...things may just work out in the encyclopedia...ahk...damn you Auto-correct!

PROCRASTINATION.

Procrastination
My greatest enemy
Many others I have conquered.
But not you.
Pain. Women.
Still, Victory over you eludes me.
Procrastination.

An exam in a year
"That's a century away"
An exam in a month
"If I'm serious now I've a good chance"
An exam tomorrow
"Shit."
Procrastination.

"You could have done better, son"
"Yes, Father. I know"
"Now off you go,wash my car now."
"Here I go, Father. It shall be spotless"
Five hours later
"Why is my car still filthy?"
Procrastination.

The girlfriend's birthday
In a month
Plenty time to think
Maybe nice jewellery
Birthday's tomorrow
"What did you get for me honey?"
Procrastination.

Deaf

First creative post! Never ends well!
A 100 word story.
DEAF

'He saw his hand pick up the Derringer as the stool beside it fell to the ground.
He saw himself move towards Mr. Timothy as he stumbled on chairs and fell the coffee table.
Sprouted across the sofa in a drunken stupor, there Mr. Timothy lay.
He saw his hand point the Derringer towards Mr. Timothy's chest and then saw the cream cotton shirt that
covered Mr. Timothy's hairy chest turn crimson.
He saw the Derringer drop to the ground.
He saw his hand pick up the gun and point it towards his temple...his final thought?
"Why can't I hear a damn thing?"'
